Your book reviews:
1. Concise. 2. Precise. 3. Pithy. 🙂
I’ve been on a Wangerin kick lately and am about one-third of the way through The Book of the Dun Cow. It might be my favorite of all his books, but that’s what I said about the previous Wangerin book too!
Ah, so you liked Dun Cow. May have to give it a whirl.
1. You. 2. Da. 3. Bomb. Just added the Wangerin to my library hold list.
I liked it, not sure where to go next. The Book of Sorrows seems like a real emotional drain, not ready for that now. Maybe Saint Julian? Ragman and other stories? Star Wars?
Hey, two of those are in my top 25. http://tenthousandplaces.org/2007/08/18/a-list-a-list/
The Book of Sorrows was extremely intense and sad. I haven’t been able to read it more than once. Have you read The Last Unicorn? Really good.
Jessica, my favorite part of your list:
“21) Pride and Prejudice, Jane Austen (21)
Yes, I am a girl.”
Funny. (Plus, I love that book. But I am theoretically a man.)
Just finished Book of the Dun Cow. It wasn’t what I expected. Way more betterer. Gotsta read more Wangerin so I can be prepared for Hutchmoot!
