I had the great privilege of joining the crew at The Center for Lit in this fun interview. If you enjoy my books and want to know more about my heart for kids and approach to the vocation of storyteller, this is a really good place to hear more.
I really enjoyed this interview. It was one of my favorites. (Here are some others, if you’re interested.)
I have appreciated their Bibliophiles pod (subscribe here) and I loved talking with Adam and Missy Andrews, along with Ian, Emily, and Megan. They are wise, bright, and positive. They like to laugh.
Adam and Ian speak around the country (including at the Great Homeschool Conventions, where I’ll be speaking as well) and have lots to offer at their website. If you haven’t checked them out, I suggest you do.
I greatly enjoyed listening to your interview on Bibliofiles. I can’t wait to read your stories for my own pleasure and to share them with my children.
Do you ever co-author stories with your children? My son and I tried a writing exercise where we took turns writing the next sentence of a story. I thought it was a great idea until it was his turn and he immediately inserted an animated light bulb into the introduction. I was thinking, “A light bulb? What on earth am I going to do with this?” We ended up with a story that spiraled into a ridiculous snowball of outrageous fun. He giggled and giggled and giggled. We’ll have to do it again soon.
I love the ideas you are supporting with your StoryWarren site. Best wishes to you and your beautiful family! Thank you for sharing your treasures with the world.
Thank you for the kind words, Jessie. I hope you enjoy the books.
That sounds fun!
Hi Sam, so I guess this is where I can write to you about The Green Ember series. I found them on Amazon and purchased for my granddaughter, then I thought they sounded so interesting why should she have all the fun, and I got myself a set. Just finished reading them and they are wonderfully engaging. I wish that I didn’t have to wait for the next one to come out, but I suppose I’ll have to, but not too long I hope. Keep the great stories coming. You are a great storyteller! I’m sure my granddaughter will like these books as much as I do. By the way, I find the pictures fabulous, too, and will have to write to the illustrator as well as writing to you. I’m a visual person and think that pictures help to make the story come alive, so that it’s not all left up to the imagination. Thanks.
Vicki
Dear Vicki,
It was so kind of you to write and share these encouraging words. Thank you so much! I agree about the visuals. Zach is an incredible artist.
God bless you!
Sam
I have greatly enjoyed the book! Will you be writing another to continue where the “Ember Falls” left off?
Thank you, Jubilee.
Yes!
Hi to All,
I just received the email highlighting Jubilee’s note and your reply of “YES”, to new and exciting adventures coming our way. Thank you so much!
Enjoy your writing, and I look forward to the continuation of this family of persevering rabbits.
Stay strong!
Vicki
I’m happy to hear it, Vickie. Thanks. 🙂

Thanks, Maya! I hope to see you next year. I hope my family can be there. 🙂
“If you are not writing a new book I will explode.” LOL…that’s serious affection. Thanks for sharing that one!
