We got so many requests to try to get the new book out sooner, and we have been hustling to do just that. In order to serve you better during this difficult time, we have bumped up our release date for Ember’s End on Amazon from April 14 to March 31.
That covers Kindle, paperback, and hardcover. Audible will follow, but we aren’t able to speed that up. We’ve done all we can on that front. It’s likely other audiobook carriers will release it first. Some very soon.
To be as helpful as possible in the present crisis, we believe it is best for us to halt our shipping of new orders at our store for a period. We aren’t certain how long this will be, but we hope (along with everyone else) to be back shipping orders in the near future.
Because I know many of you will ask (and have asked): yes, this (along with the tour cancellation) will have a significant negative impact on our business. Like many of you, we are trying hard to figure out how to continue to provide for our families as we honor the necessary limits crucial to save lives (and future/long-term economic health as well).
We are all trying to do our best to flatten the curve and protect the vulnerable and those on the front lines who are fighting for us all. At the same time, we are convinced that stories of bravery, stories to make us brave, are essential in our lives—especially now.
Where Can You Get These “Stories To Make Us Brave?”
Even though our store’s shipping is temporarily halted, my audiobooks are available everywhere you get them. (Ember’s End will begin showing up at those places soon.) Kindle eBooks are still for sale and Amazon is still shipping as well (though necessarily, book orders seem likely to be delayed).
