Norah Claire Smith

We are so thankful to have a healthy baby girl, born last night, February 15, 2012, at 10:45.

Norah Claire Smith, our fourth child (and second daughter) is a beautiful girl, with a lot of personality already.

My wife, Gina, was unbelievable in labor and delivery. I admire her so much. She is amazing. I’m so excited to have another daughter to follow in her footsteps.

We thank Yahweh Most High for this wonderful gift, and for answers to so many prayers.Thank you, friends, for praying for us.

She is named for her Great-Grandfather, Clair Shadwell Smith, who she only just missed meeting in this life. Papaw loved his grand-kids and great grand-kids so much. I hope she is a lover of God, of beauty, of poetry, and home. And the many other loves that characterize Papaw’s life.

We pray Norah will honor God all her days, and that she will be a constant reminder to our family to honor him.

(Sorry the picture is crummy, it’s the best I could do. But I am wearing a watch in it, I see, which I never do. I borrowed my Dad’s watch last night so I could time contractions. It happened to be Papaw’s watch.)

  1. Many congratulations, my friend! Our little Matthew arrived three months ago, so I have traversed the path of interrupted sleep cycles pretty recently. Praying that your fam will adjust well to the newest one in your midst.

  2. Congratulations, Smith clan for adding such a precious gift to your fold. And congratulations, Norah Claire, for inheriting such a beautiful family. I have no doubt that her legacy will be a blessing to this world.
